  • Plan for admission. Pepsi cans offer discounts off general admission. Discount tickets can also be purchased at local AAA offices, Discount Drug Mart and Meijers. If you are planning onvisiting 3 or more days, a season pass may be a good option for you.
  • Sleep is important. Be sure to reserve your room in advance if you are planning on spending the night at any of Cedar Point's Resorts.
  • Lay out your day. Have a general idea of what attractions you wish to experience, and their locations prior to arriving at the park. This will help to keep you from wandering the park aimlessly looking for certain attractions. [TIP: Raptor is typically busiest first thing in the morning because of it's location next to the main gate. Come back around dinner time and look for a short time.] [TIP: Some rides and attractions do not open until 11:oo.]
  • Arrive early. Arriving early not only gives you time to get your tickets prior to the park's opening, but also allows you to get a close parking spot, which you will appreciate at the end of the day. Arriving early will also give you the best shot at being one of the first people in line for the biggest, most popular attractions. [TIP: Resort guests receive early entry to the park for exlcusive ride time on certain attractions. Contact the front desk of your hotel for more information.]
  • Time to relax. It's not a bad idea to plan some time to relax in the mid-afternoon. You may wish to hit a show, or enjoy the Cedar Point Beach. This is especially important for the little ones who can't always brave the summer heat. [TIP: Arrive to shows early for best seating. Seating at most theatres is limited.] [TIP: Shows are most crowded in the mid-afternoon. You may wish to choose an evening or early-afternoon show to avoid the crowd.]
  • Keep safe and have fun. Parents of young children should take advantage of the Parent Swap and KidTrack programs.
  • Leave it behind. If you don't need it, don't bring it. Most rides will not accomodate loose articles, and they may need to be placed in a bin, a locker, or with a non-rider. If you don't really need it, it's easiest to leave it behind all together. [TIP: Day lockers are available at the front gate. One-time use lockers are scattered throughout the park, often near major attractions. Large bins are available at the front gate for large items that will not fit in a locker.]
  • Noon doesn't mean lunch. Avoid eating at normal meal times such as 12 or 1 o'clock for lunch or at 5 or 6 o'clock for dinner. Restaurants and quick service locations are busiest at these times. Instead, try and eat a little early or a little later.
  • Secure 'em! Be sure you secure all of your loose articles including wallets, glasses, keys, phones and anything else you might have. Cedar Point is not responsible for lost or damaged articles, and there isn't any gaurentee you'll get back what you loose on a ride.
  • Do as you please. Don't be afraid to check out things outside the park. Challenge Park, Soak City, and the Cedar Point Beach offer even more fun.
  • Lights or rides? When 10pm rolls around, a large number of guests hit the evening Hot Summer Lights show. When the park closes at 11pm or later, this is often a good time to hit some of the bigger attractions. The back of the park is especially empty during this time. [TIP: Some attractions close early due to the Hot Summer Lights show. They're indicated with a red sign outside the ride's entrance.] [TIP: If you're in line when the park closes, you'll still be able to ride, as long as maintenance or weather conditions don't shut down the ride.]
