2002 - The beginning of the collection of Point Pixels. Photos are taken with a Sony Digital Mavica. 2003 - The collection of Point Pixels continues to grow. One of a kind images, including Top Thrill Dragster's Media Day, are added to the collection. Photos are taken with a Sony Digital Mavica. 2004 - The collection of Point Pixels photography grows rapidly. A video collection is also started using a Cannon GL2. In mid-June, pictures begin to be taken with a Nikon CoolPix 8700. May 2005 - Point Pixels attends maXair's Media Day. First pictures of fireworks at the park are taken during an Opening Day celebration. October 2005 - HalloWeekends pictures again join the Point Pixels Collection. The collection reaches more than 3,000 photos. February 26, 2006 - Point Pixels, the world's largest collection of Cedar Point photography online, is launched with more than 3,400 photos. May 2006 - Point Pixels attends Skyhawk's Media Day. Construction photos for Project 2007 first appear on Point Pixels. First pictures taken with the Nikon D200 appear on Point Pixels. June 16, 2006 - Point Pixels hits 5,000 Cedar Point photos. July 9, 2006 - Point Pixels begins to move to its new server. July 17, 2006 - Point Pixels 2.0 is officially launched. The new site features video, high-quality desktop backgrounds, easier viewing of "Park Perception" and a completely new photo gallery. July 25, 2006 - Point Pixels reaches 6,000 images. August 8, 2006 - Point Pixels reaches 7,000 photos. August 17, 2006 - Point Pixels 3.0 is launched. September 9, 2006 - Point Pixels introduces the Point Pixels' Blog. October 15, 2006 - Point Pixels celebrates 10,000 photos on the site with an all new design! December 27, 2006 - Point Pixels relaunches with current layout. February 26, 2007 - Point Pixels celebrates one year on the web! September 2007 - Point Pixels runs its 1,000,000 photo database query in about 14 months! December 2007 - Point Pixels launches all new media outlet providing easy access to photos and videos by members of the media. February 26, 2008 - Point Pixels turns 2 years old! More than 13,000 photos appear on the site.
